A Federation of Historic Vehicles of India event
The recently formed Federation of Historic Vehicles of India (FHVI) held its inaugural event on September 30 and October 1, and on a sunny Sunday morning, Bangalore saw 50 vintage and classic cars being flagged off from the magnificent Vidhana Soudha.
Entries were restricted as all participants would be staying in Mysore at the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel, which only has 50-odd rooms. Built in 1931 by the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore, the double-columned and domed, shimmering white palace is now a heritage hotel run by the Jungle Lodges and Resorts Group. The Lalitha Mahal was specially lit up to welcome the participants and with 50 historic cars parked at the location, it was a stunning sight.
