GROWING UP 30 YEARS AGO WAS A LOT DIFFERENT THAN IT IS TODAY. Without cell phones and social media, the youth of the 1990s was harder to influence. You had to do big things to get small reactions back then, and creating a memorable impact was near impossible. Only a handful of commercials and a few dozen products embedded themselves into our brain’s deep storage—including a lifted Squarebody Chevy on 40-inch tires and crowned with KC lights. Those trucks were the most popular ones on the road and at every late-night get-together. All the cool guys had one, and all the ladies wanted a ride.

If it was cool back then, how cool would a modern version of the same style look today? After searching the truck shows and talking with some of the owners, including Jeremy Logsdon of Charlotte, North Carolina, we think we’ve found our answer. As he told us about his truck and the inspiration behind its design and setup, it was clear that he was thinking the same thing we were, only he actually went out and built it!

Being a full-time business owner of the Wheel and Tire Exchange, Jeremy sees all the trends come and go through his shop. He knows what enthusiasts like, he knows what the dreamers can think up, and he knows what has been done already. This advantage gave him a clear path to fame when he unveiled this ’17 Chevy Silverado.
