BMW is set to go on an electrified, self-driving onslaught, and this offbeat design study — the Vision iNext concept — is a showcase of all the cutting-edge tech that will feature in its next-gen EVs that go on sale from 2021 onwards.
Visually challenging it may be, but the iNext concept is said to be a game-changer in the areas of electrification, connectivity and autonomy. In the words of BMW CEO Harald Kruger: “The iNext project is our building kit for the future. It will benefit the entire company and all of our brands. For the first time, we’re combining all key technologies for future mobility in one vehicle. The iNext is fully electric, fully connected and offers highly automated driving.”
