You have big shoes to fill. What are your plans? Indeed! This is what happens when you enter a familyrun business. There is a certain baggage you must take care of…whether you want it or not! So, the first step was to earn the respect of staff and industry professionals. Everybody has a perception about you. Peers in the industry have a different point of view, the employees their own and even customers have a different way of looking at you. Sometimes I wonder whether they take me seriously or not!
When did you take over operations in right earnest? My first stint at the company was in 2009 when I had just graduated. I worked for a year then went off to complete my MBA with a 2-year break. I returned in 2012, so that is when I really took charge.
