Artist Ritu Gupta’s latest solo exhibition ‘Hue of Devotion’ was held last month in New Delhi. Known for her traditional paintings with intricate and multilayered detailing, Gupta draws inspiration from mythology. MARWAR presents a collection of some of the artist’s best works.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
People often ask me why I choose spiritual art over modern or abstract art. I have my personal style and I feel every piece I create should fulfil three criteria: it should be affordable, it should be easy to comprehend and appreciate and it should emit a positive vibe. Hence, I do not believe in following trends. I base my paintings on spirituality, which transcends time or place and has a universal appeal.

Director of the Serendipity Arts Foundation and the Serendipity Arts Festival, Smriti Rajgarhia, is trained as an architect with a Masters in Design.
