Giving them a better future
MARWAR India|March - April 2021
Divya Jain’s dedication to helping unskilled and jobless youth find their feet and move ahead in life is like the proverbial phrase of teaching a man to fish to help him feed himself for a lifetime. The erudite entrepreneur cum-altruist talks to MARWAR about her multiple roles of helping the family business grow and now giving back to society.

Giving them a better future

Divya Jain was working at Safexpress—a leading supply chain and logistic company founded by her father-in-law Pawan Jain in 1997—when she realised the lack of skilled manpower in the largely unorganised sector. And so, in 2010, she founded Safeducate to equip underprivileged jobseekers aged between 18 and 35 with skills required for a professional career, particularly in the supply-chain management and logistics segment.

Myriad services

Today, Safeducate trains more than 50,000 individuals annually through industry-relevant courses, programmes and workshops at its 150+ centres across India, apart from helping them with job placements. The organisation has more than 450 employees, including a rich pool of experienced, qualified and certified trainers and experts. “We have a unique education framework to train our students and upskill our teachers and trainers. With an order book exceeding 200 crore, Safeducate is a social enterprise that has created not just immense social value, but also enormous economic value from its inception,” says Jain.
