Amrita Deora is a walking lexicon of Indian art. Blessed with creative sensibility and commercial insight, the 24-year-old gallerist strives to empower aspiring Indian artists through The Designera, her newly opened pop-art gallery in Mumbai. The gallery serves as a platform to promote Indian artists for their signature contemporary aesthetic. At her gallery, artworks are handmade with paint, love and hard work.
A combination of her background in entrepreneurship and the arts led Deora to begin her own journey with The Designera. Speaking about how she strikes a balance between the two worlds, she says, "Being born and raised in a Marwari business family, it sparked a fire in my belly for entrepreneurship. Simultaneously, I explored various artistic expressions, from kathak to piano, and painting to ballet. My love for the arts blossomed from a young age. I studied art and design at Central Saint Martin's in London, which was followed by a degree in Commerce from Mumbai University. I am currently pursuing my Masters' in History of Design from the University of Oxford."

How Smriti Rajgarhia Makes Serendipity Shine
Director of the Serendipity Arts Foundation and the Serendipity Arts Festival, Smriti Rajgarhia, is trained as an architect with a Masters in Design.
