Our Invincible Human Spirit

In the depths of a pandemic 2020, we learned five lessons about the human spirit. These five lessons can make for an invincible 2021.

The first lesson is that we discovered our workers have superpowers – superpowers that we had undervalued. We witnessed, for example, the courage of frontline workers. We saw the care that healthcare workers had for those who needed care. Away from the frontline, many workers across many industries stepped up in their ways. They helped their companies rebuild supply chains, digitalize processes, and develop blended and hybrid businesses. They stepped out of their comfort zones to do new, different, and unexpected things.

And they did them well. In doing so, they broke many stereotypes of what many thought they could and could not do. We learned how adaptable they could be, how we had underestimated them, and how much we could do with them in the new year.

The second lesson we learned is the human spirit wants to be innovative.
