Fabtex 2017, Mumbai Concludes On Positive Note

In Mumbai Fabtex, a b2b exhibition where fabric and yarn manufacturers from all over India participated, closed on a positive note. The exhibition saw participation of textile majors like Reliance Industries, Aditya Birla Group, Sangam India, Banswara Syntex, Siyaram’s, Sahiba and many more. Most of the companies showcased variety of yarns, fibres, fabrics, and garments as well. A lot of companies showcased shirting fabrics and there was a good demand for specialty and value added yarns. The visitors had a fair share of garment manufacturers, exporters, traders and wholesalers which included textile players like Alok Industries, Texport Syndicate, Gokaldas exports, Pantaloons, Westside and several other companies from the textile and apparel segment.

Fabtex 2017, Mumbai Concludes On Positive Note

Banswara Syntex that has its plant in Navsari, Surat, shared their optimism about the market. The group has fabric mills in Rajasthan, and garment manufacturing facility in Daman and Surat. Banswara is making high end tailored suits, pants and formal wear for both men and women along with value addition. Known mainly for poly-viscose and synthetic blends, the group has recently collaborated with the Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC). “We are catering to both the domestic and export segments. Working with clients like Walmart, Zara, Arrow Women and many more, we are offering a complete range to our customers. “Our USP lies in smart casuals; the fabrics that we use are mainly poly-viscose synthetics and cotton, but we mainly produce stretch fabric by adding lycra,” said Neeraj Mishra ( Vp Sales Marketing ) from the company.

Dilip Jiwrajka, CMD, ALOK Industries, who visited the exhibition to see the range displayed, shared his thoughts while speaking to Team Perfect Sourcing, “The market situation is good, there will be a balance as cotton prices are well in control, the crop is also good. We do not expect any growth this year, however, new products are regularly added.”
