What are retailers and shopping centre developers doing to stave off the ill effects of the pandemic and reassure consumers?
It is extremely crucial for retailers and malls to reassure consumers that the controlled environment at a mall will be the safest place to go for shopping, eating and entertainment options. The industry has come together to spell out guidelines that cover every aspect of retailing to ensure safety is at prime.
Malls are better equipped to enable and ensure a safe environment by enhancing the already existing standards of hygiene and mandating social distancing norms for consumers and monitoring that these are being followed strictly.

Delhi Allows Cinemas to Run at 100% Seating Capacity

Airia Mall in Association with TRRAIN Creates Livelihood for Persons with Disabilities
In India there are about 26.8 million Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) out of which their employment is less than 1 percent, as per the census of 2011. In an attempt to support employment to PwDs, AIRIA Mall in association with Trust for Retailers and Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN) is opening a training centre to train them through TRRAIN’s livelihood creation program, Pankh – Wings of Destiny. On completion of their training, the trainees will be employed in the mall and its retail brands. The inauguration of the centre was done by Deepak Sethi, Project Director Reach Promoters Pvt Ltd and Sanjeev Kumar Centre Head, AIRIA Mall.
