Celeb hairstylist DAVID GAN, who is the ambassador of a brand of sparkling honey water, tells us what his favourite 8 DAYS cover is. And no, it doesn’t have Fann or Zoe on it.
Quick question: What comes to mind when someone mentions David Gan? There’s his super atas Passion Hair Salon, his friendship with A-list stars, super expensive watches, and, of course, bird’s nest. Well, you can now add canned honey water to that list. The celeb crimper is the brand ambassador, a relatively new drink on the market that combines honey water with soda. While flavoured sparkling water is not something you would normally associate with David, it all (kinda) makes sense. After all, the man has nourished, you know, like honey, the careers of many of Singapore’s biggest stars. As for the kick that comes from drinking soda? Have you read his feisty IG rants?
But of course, there’s also a super sweet (like honey?) side to David. He has been a three-decade-long friend to this magazine and over the years, has gone out of his way to arrange shoots for us at locations that would have been impossible and broker interviews with stars who would have been inaccessible. And as he (hair) waxes lyrically about how much this magazine means to him, the truth is, the feeling’s mutual.
8 DAYS: We’ve always associated you with very high-end products. So why canned honey water?
