Dia Mirzas love affair with glamour is an ongoing one. The beauty queen and actor scribbles her style secrets for Henal Bhatt
I dress to… express
My favourite fashion trend is… Boho chic
My favourite fashion era… the Grace Kelly era (between 1970s -1980s). The actress-turned-real life Princess of Monaco was everything feminine, dreamy and beautiful.
My favourite red carpet trend… would be anything that has a vintage vibe. It has to be feminine too.
One trend I’d want to revive… would be that of the ’40s and ’60s. After World War II, haute couture was back. Teen fashion came into existence too. Designers continue to be inspired by these eras where the silhouettes were flowing. There was something powerful about that time.
My favourite Indian designers… We have incredible designers but those who have stood the test of time and done incredible work with Indian textile and craftsmen would be Ritu Kumar, Sabyasachi, Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani, and Manish Malhotra. There are also designers who’ve given the Indian textile a contemporary spin like Shantanu and Nikhil, Rocky S, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Anamika Khanna and Anand Kabra.
Favourite international designers… Well, I’m not enamoured by international designers. They’re wonderful but I don’t believe that my wardrobe would be incomplete
