Celebrity MasterChef winner and mum of two Angellica Bell talks exclusively to HELLO! about her TV victory and getting children into cooking

The former CBBC presenter talks to us about Celebrity MasterChef , recreating her grandma’s Caribbean recipes and pleasing fussy eaters…
Angellica, tell us about your Celebrity MasterChef experience…
“I still pinch myself about winning the series in 2017 and I’m so pleased I agreed to be part of the show. To be completely frank, I wasn’t keen to do it as my other half Michael [Underwood, fellow TV presenter] had got to the final five years before. We’d just had a baby, so it was full-on at the time, and on top of that, I remember how stressful it was for Michael thinking about what to cook as he got through each round – often he had to stay up practising into the middle of the night. So there was a lot to live up to, which was really daunting.”
How did it feel to win?
“When John [Torode] said my name, everything went into slow motion and I couldn’t believe it. I’ve never won anything before on that level, so I was over the moon, shocked, emotional and relieved, but above all incredibly proud of myself.”
