National-level swimmers, fitness enthusiasts and entrepreneurs – designer Monisha Jailing's sons are all this and more. In conversation with hello! The duo opens up on their shared passions, aspirations and pride.

Tell designer Monisha Jaising’s sons that they may have been named after two heroes from the epic Mahabharata, and they will playfully inform you that they are only called such because their parents loved the two names! While 24-year-old Yudhishthir aka Yudi is the free spirit who shares that he could survive on sushi, 21-year-old Karan is the more mischievous of the two, who admittedly can’t have enough of sugar! Ironical really, because these self-confessed foodies are two of the fittest people in the industry and proud owners of the Antigravity Fitness Club. HELLO! gets the brothers talking on all things they deem “fit,” their “golden” journey as national-level swimmers and why their mum will definitely bag the project to design their future athleisure line!

Both of you are national-level swimmers, with several gold medals and records to your credit. How early in life did you both discover this passion for the sport? Karan: “My parents felt it was necessary for both of us to learn swimming from a young age. I was five-years-old when I started my training at the Otters Club. A few months in and I became really good at it – a fast learner, I picked-up the techniques quickly. And, before long, I was participating in the local competitions. After I won a few gold medals, my parents realised that I could take this passion to a whole new level. So, what started off as a form of exercise became a passion and an integral part of my life.”
