It wasn’t Brad Pitt’s day, week, month or even his year when Angelina Jolie unexpectedly hit him with divorce papers in September. But his first wife Jennifer Aniston has reassured him she’ll be there for him – by inviting him on a trip to Mexico!

Yep, NW has learnt that in an attempt to bring her exhusband out of his rut, the Friends fave asked him to join her and hubby Justin Theroux – and a group of their nearest and dearest – for some R&R in Cabo San Lucas over Easter. Bless, Jen!

“She knows he’s had a rough time of things lately and thinks getting out of LA is exactly what he needs right now to boost his spirits,” says our insider, who’s acquainted with both stars.

“She told him if he was going to clear his head properly, he needed to get away from all the old memories of his life in LA with Ange – and there’s no better place to do that than Cabo. Besides, she knows he loves Mexico.” But it’s hardly surprising to hear Jen extended an invite to her ex.

Since splitting from Angelina, 41, after 12 years together, Brad has been a broken man – looking gaunt and feeling low and lonely without his kids around.

Enter Jen, who has been slowly rebuilding her relationship with Brad, with a source telling US People mag last month that the former golden couple have been regularly messaging each other.
