Cindy's Fears For Shrinking Kaia

Is the pressure of being the world’s most in-demand model taking a toll on the teen?

Since her highly anticipated runway debut at New York Fashion Week last September, Kaia Gerber’s rise to the top of the modelling pack has been nothing short of meteoric. But while the It-girl’s star continues to ascend, her mum Cindy Crawford’s fears for Kaia’s wellbeing are also growing.

Indeed, Kaia – who turned 17 on September 3 – looked gaunt in a cropped jacket and miniskirt at the launch of her Karl Lagerfeld X Kaia capsule collection on August 30.

“Cindy can see Kaia is getting thinner and she’s worried she’s not taking good care of herself,” an insider tells NW.

“She’s trying to be as supportive as possible of Kaia’s career and knows that [any weight loss] is probably because of stress.

“But the last thing Cindy wants is for Kaia to damage her health because she’s under too much pressure. It’s a lot for anyone to take on, and Kaia is still so young.”
