Lobster diver’s harrowing tale

DIVER Michael Packard is telling a whale of a tale! The Massachusetts man said, “I was lobster diving and a humpback whale tried to eat me!”

Following his encounter with the beast from the deep — which calls to mind the biblical Jonah and the whale parable — Michael, 56, joked he wants Matt Damon to play him in “Good Whale Hunting,” a movie version of the harrowing experience!

The 40-year diving vet explained he was deep in the sea off the coast of Provincetown when he got bumped from behind — and suddenly everything went dark.

“I thought I was being attacked by a shark. And then I felt around, and I realized there was no teeth, and I realized, oh my God I’m in a whale’s mouth!” he recalled.
