The heat is on as 12 more hopefuls apron-up for The Great British Bake Off. Matt Lucas is back to host with Noel Fielding – who missed the Christmas and celeb specials while on paternity leave with his second child.
And judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith are promising this year may be the best yet.
“I think the standard this year is the highest I’ve ever encountered,” says Paul. “It starts high and ends like that.”
Prue adds, “The youngest baker this year is 19, the oldest one nearly 70. Not one of them is like another. I don’t know how the production company manages it.”
