We have followed Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallet’s romance since they first fell for each on The Only Way Is Essex in 2014. And while many of their castmates have had break-ups play out of screen, this is one couple whose love has stood the test of time.
Fast forward seven years, and they are more in love than ever. Officially the show’s power couple, they have just moved into their newly renovated mansion and in May welcomed their first child, a boy called Brody.
And while they might have taken a step back from TOWIE to focus on their lives as parents, fans can get still get their fix of Tommy, 29, and Georgia, 30. In their new two-part ITVBe show, Georgia & Tommy: Baby Steps, they’ve allowed the cameras into their home to film the build-up to Brody’s birth and how he has changed their lives.
Here, they tell new all about Brody’s arrival, how he has strengthened their relationship and whether fans might be hearing wedding bells soon…
Why did you guys decide to do this show?
Georgia: When they came to us with the idea, I was a bit like, “I don’t know. Is that a good thing to do?” But our whole relationship’s been on telly. The public has seen the whole journey. Why not have the baby’s journey?
It’s only two episodes, do you think you might do a full series following your life together as parents?
Tommy: We’ll have to see how it goes. I’ve got a lot to give! I think people will like the way it’s filmed. It’s different from what’s on telly at the minute.
Georgia: It would be nice if we could follow it on, but I don’t know what it’s like to be a mum, so I don’t want to sign myself up to anything until I feel comfortable.
