When we catch up with Lauren Goodger over Zoom, it’s so nice to see her in such a good place. During our chat, the former TOWIE favourite can’t stop gushing about her new boyfriend, Katie Price’s ex, Charles Drury – or Charlie, as she affectionately calls him.
It’s fair to say that Lozza, 34, has endured enough heartbreak, having had problematic long-term relationships with Mark Wright, Jake McLean and jailbird Joey Morrisson. But this time she says she sees “a difference” with 23-year-old builder Charlie, who is always planning cute things for the pair to do and who Lauren insists is her “best friend”.
The loved-up couple went Instagram official last month, but she tells new they had actually been speaking for five months before that.
Like many relationships, Lauren says their romance has been fast-tracked because of the Covid lockdowns and Charlie is now living with her at her Essex flat. They are also planning to buy a place together!
If that wasn’t exciting enough, she’s looking forward to their very first Christmas as a couple, too. “We’ll be together and will see my family Christmas Day,” she says. “And we might go to his on Boxing Day.”
As well as the nitty-gritty of her new relationship, we discuss Lozza’s amazing body – which she insists is down to “loads of sex” – as well as how she’s been coping with her mental health after previously telling new she’s been having therapy to help with her anxiety.
