He’s already been on Celebs Go Dating twice but former TOWIE star Joey Essex is hoping the third time will be a charm.
A short-lived fling with Brazilian model Brenda Santos ended last October and he is handing himself back over to the agency’s Cupids, Paul Brunson and Anna Williamson, in the hope that they will find him The One.
“It’s going to be third time lucky, yeah,” the 30-year-old tells new. “Let’s all hope that anyway because I don’t want to be back a fourth time!”
And Joey – who has dated the likes of Made In Chelsea star Stephanie Pratt and Ex On The Beach’s Lorena Medina – insists he has learned the lessons of past romances. He says he now realises it’s important not to rush into anything with his potential dream girl.
“I’m really, really intense in relationships, so I get into them very quick,” admits Joey, who is lining up on the E4 show with celebs including Love Island ’s Curtis Pritchard and Made In Chelsea’s Sophie Hermann.
“I think my record was three days and she was my girlfriend. I need to take things slow.”
Here, Joey sets the record straight on his last relationship, reveals what he’s looking for in a woman and tells us which star he would love to wine and dine…
Hi, Joey. Are you hoping it’s third time lucky on this year’s Celebs Go Dating?
It’s going to be third time lucky, yeah. Let’s all hope that anyway because I don’t want to be back here for a fourth time! I feel like, basically, to put it in a nutshell, I’ve got no baggage.
You’re quite recently single after splitting from Brenda in October…
