Calling us from the plush office in her Isle of Man mansion, Michelle Mone tells us she’s been exercising her way through the lockdown. “People say I look like my eldest daughter’s sister and I do feel 10 years younger,” says Michelle, who was made a baroness in 2015.

The businesswoman, 48, has been on an incredible and well-documented weight loss journey over the years – shedding an astonishing 8th and dropping six dress sizes.

She now works out six days a week and follows her self-devised 29-point diet plan, which includes avoiding simple carbs and cutting out sugar. Michelle, a mum to three grown-up children, tells us she’s lost another 11lb since billionaire businessman Doug Barrowman, 55, popped the question on Christmas Eve 2018. In fact, we catch up with the bubbly Scot on what should have been the week of her wedding.

“Please don’t feel sorry for us,” she says. “Me and Doug feel sorry for the couples who saved up for so many months and years and have lost their deposits. We’re fine – we can cope with it.”

Here, Michelle reveals why she used to hate looking at herself in the mirror, how she has overhauled her diet and what she could bring to the Dragon’s Den panel…

Hi Michelle! We’re sorry you had to postpone your wedding.

Have you set a new date?

Yes, at the start of August. And come then, if we can’t have as many people as we’d like, then, unfortunately, we’ll have to get rid of some people.

How will you choose?!
