This year has been an unusual one for Alesha Dixon. Normally, much of her time would have been taken up with filming Britain’s Got Talent, but with the show cancelled for 2021 due to the pandemic, the 43-year-old judge has been able to turn her attention to some other projects close to her heart.
As well as launching her own wellness brand NobleBlu, Alesha has released her sixth children’s book. She’s also been busy in the studio working on new music.
And with such a demanding career and being a parent to daughters Azura, eight, and two-year-old Anaya with her husband Azuka Ononye, 40, Alesha admits that trying to fit it all in can be a struggle. “The juggle is real,” she says, laughing.
Here, the former Mis-Teeq singer tells new about how delighted she is to be returning to the next series of BGT and how it feels to be reuniting with her fellow judges…
Hi Alesha! How excited are you about the return of Britain’s Got Talent?
I can’t wait! We’ve got the audition dates in the diary for the middle of January and at the moment it’s all systems go. Everybody is quietly excited. I think everyone is treading a little bit cautiously as life is everchanging and a bit unpredictable, but for the most part everyone is excited to be reunited. I think it could be the best series we’ve ever had. There’s going to be so much talent that is just bursting to get out on stage.
Have you missed the show?
