Whenever we catch up with Josie Gibson, we can’t help but come away with a smile on our faces. The bubbly TV presenter, who burst onto our screens when she won Big Brother in 2010, is so upbeat it’s infectious.
So it’s easy to see why she has forged such a strong friendship with her This Morning co-star Alison Hammond, 47, who is just as vivacious.
Josie, 37, tells new that Alison is one of the first people she’d turn to in a crisis, explaining, “She’s too kind, to her own detriment sometimes. You could be really down in the dumps and spend five minutes with her and feel on top of the world again.”
To celebrate International Women’s Day, Josie – mum to Reggie, three – talks about female empowerment and why she loves being surrounded by her girl gang…
Hi, Josie! How are you doing?
I’m not too bad. I’m recovering from tonsillitis. I get it once a year really badly. I’ve just been recovering at home. I’ve been reading Alison’s book [You’ve Got To Laugh]! It’s really good. I’m not just saying it because she’s my mate! It’s just a real easy read. It’s got stuff in it I never even knew about Al.
We love seeing you guys together on This Morning. What’s your favourite thing about working with Alison?
She’s got an infectious personality. She’s so caring, she’d give anyone her last pound. She’d help anyone out. She’s too kind, to her own detriment sometimes. You could be really down in the dumps and spend five minutes with her and feel on top of the world again. She’s special.
Do you turn to her for advice?
