After the Duchess of Sussex bravely spoke out about her devastating miscarriage last week, new can reveal that the heartbreaking loss has helped heal the “rift” between Meghan and her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge.

In The New York Times last week, the Duchess, 39, described the “unbearable grief” she went through on that July morning. She had breakfast, fed the dogs and tidied up Archie’s clothes while “throwing my hair in a ponytail before getting my son from his crib”.

“After changing his diaper, I felt a sharp cramp. I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right,” she revealed in a piece called The Losses We Share.

Meghan was taken to hospital after falling ill at home in Los Angeles and described how she watched her husband Prince Harry’s “heart break as he tried to hold the shattered pieces of mine”.
