Pink - Fab, Fit & 40

It’s time to get the party started as this pop queen celebrates her milestone birthday.

We can hardly believe the woman who can dangle from a rope above a stage and still belt out a banger is turning 40 – but hey, that’s Pink for you!

Her stellar career has spanned 20 years – so far – and in that time she’s brought us iconic anthems like So What, Just Give Me A Reason and Raise Your Glass. That she’s able to knock out everything from heartfelt ballads to kick-ass party tunes, and all with a strong dose of girl power, has made her even more endearing to her fans. ‘My definition of freedom is knowing who you are, and then being it,’ she asserts.

Pink turns the big 4-0 on September 8. She was born Alecia Beth Moore to Jim and Judy Moore, and grew up in ordinary Doylestown, Pennsylvania. But at nine, her parents divorced and Pink soon went off the rails. Of that time period, she says, ‘I understand addiction because I was a hardcore partier from [the ages] of 12 to 15. I was like a candy raver and I was on all the club drugs, eventually ending up selling ecstasy, crystal meth and Special K.’
