Kelly Hoppen MBE has transformed palatial houses into homes for the likes of the Beckhams, Chris Evans and Frank Lampard. So it’s no surprise that the interior designer has applied her artistic eye to her own stunning central London home.
When the star and her long-term partner John Gardiner moved in five years ago, the space was an empty warehouse with not even a staircase in sight. Now, it’s a light and breezy oasis of calm, and we can’t think of a better place to be isolating.
Kelly, 60, has certainly found the positives of lockdown and is keen to help others do the same. She has been busier than ever working on her various business projects, as well as regular segments on This Morning. But, like the rest of us, Kelly can’t wait to be reunited with her family when the coronavirus pandemic is under control.
The former Dragons’ Den star is mum to chef and food writer Natasha Corrett, 36, from her first marriage, and is now grandmother to Natasha’s son Rudy, who is almost three. Kelly is also step-mother to fashion designer Savannah Miller, 41, and actress Sienna Miller, 38, from her second marriage to their father Edwin, and remains close to them.
Here, Kelly – who started her business aged 16 – exclusively shares pictures from her heavenly home and reveals how to make your space work for you…
Your home is so beautiful. How much work have you done to it?
Thank you. When we moved in, it was a completely empty space with no stairs, nothing. It was just a warehouse. I did it all up in a year and three months.
What’s your favourite room in the house?
