Aside from her incredible acting skills, Anna Kendrick has also become famed for her sharp sense of humour. But the actress admits that being home alone during the pandemic has tested her and often left her feeling “helpless”.
Thankfully, she’s been finding time for Zoom calls with friends and family, and recently virtually reunited with her Pitch Perfect co-stars to cover Beyoncé’s hit Love On Top for UNICEF.
Despite her A-list status, Anna has always been notoriously private about her love life. The 35-year-old is rumoured to have been dating cinematographer Ben Richardson since 2014 but has never publicly spoken about romance. “I like to keep my private life to myself,” she explains.
But relationships are the clear focus of her latest BBC series Love Life, which charts the journey from first love to last love. Asked what she finds attractive in a man, Anna admits, “I want to feel seen and understood. I’m not into it if a guy says things like, ‘I’m so drawn to you.’ When somebody puts you on a pedestal, I don’t think that’s sexy.”
Here, the star opens up about her success, staying grounded and how humour has helped her through some of her darkest moments...
