Fans of Simon Cowell were delighted to see the star looking healthy on a family outing in Los Angeles, proving that he is on the road to recovery after his horrific bike accident back in August.

Simon’s pal Lizzie Cundy has exclusively told OK! that the incident, which involved him breaking his back in three places after falling off his electric bike, has “changed everything” for the music mogul, and that he will be prioritising his wellbeing from now on.

“He realised he needs to put his health first,” she told us, before saying that the accident, which could have paralysed him for life, has given the 61-year-old time to think about what’s important in life.

She explains, “That was a big wake-up call for him. What’s the point of having successful TV shows and all the money in the world if he hasn’t got his health? It’s changed everything for Simon – it’s made him much more reflective.”
