Before They Were Famous

READERS may recognise this week’s featured star, the gorgeous Eva Green, for her creepy Gothic role in the series Penny Dreadful. But the French-born stunner has an incredibly colourful road that she traversed to achieve the stardom she enjoys to this day. From being related to an internationally renowned composer to taking legal advice to baring all on screen at a relatively young age, we’re bringing you all you need to know about the woman who stole James Bond’s heart in Casino Royale as the Bond Girl, Vesper Lynd.

EVA GAËLLE GREEN was born on July 5, 1980, in Paris, France.

HER mother, Marlène Jobert, is an actress, singer and author, and her father, Walter Green, is a dentist.

SHE was born just two minutes before her fraternal twin sister, Joy (Johanne).

SHE is the great-granddaughter of the French composer Paul Le Flem, and is of Swedish and French descent.

THE actress Marika Green is her aunt. Popstar Elsa Lunghini is her first cousin.

HER first magazine cover was published when she was only two months old!

SHE first took a three-year acting course at Saint Paul Drama School in Paris, later joining a 10-week course at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London; and when she returned to Paris, she performed in several plays.
