Decoding Salman Khan!
I was meeting Salman Khan at his home at Galaxy apartments in Bandra, Mumbai for an exclusive interview. I had of course briefly met him at press conferences but beyond that I never had too many interactions with him. But yes, I did hear some rather eclectic stories of the famous Khan temper that could escalate in seconds if asked a question he didn’t like. But that didn’t faze me out a bit as I was armed with my sheets of questions and my curiosity to know the ‘real’ Salman Khan.

And as I entered the formidable gates of Galaxy manned by Salman’s huge bodyguards, outside which scores of fans stood patiently waiting for a glimpse of their adored superstar, his car along with an entourage drove inside the pathway. Salman Khan had come back home!

After a brief handshake, he told me, ‘Let’s go to the garden’. The garden inside Galaxy was a little oasis of serenity covered with trees with the gentle cool sea breeze brushing aside the heat of the afternoon, offering much relief. In the middle of the garden stood a rustic styled ash-grey wooden table with matching chairs - simple yet elegant – which beckoned us. It was 4.30 p.m. But before we could start, there were meetings galore. And Salman started off by discussing rather animatedly with his managers about several charities and causes that he wanted to take up during the Race 3 intercity promotionals. In between, Race 3 producer Ramesh Taurani walked in to show Salman a few songs that were recorded.
