Why Was Raai Laxmi Not A Part Of Ms Dhoni's Biopic?

Raai Laxmi was in the news for being MS Dhoni’s alleged girlfriend way before his marriage with Sakshi. In fact, raging stories of their liaison were the talk of the town in the days of yore. However, Dhoni’s biopic MS Dhoni The Untold Story did not have a single mention of her. Sumita Chakraborty finds out why Dhoni chose to give the Raai Laxmi chapter a miss in his biopic.

She was this lissome siren from Bengaluru. And he, this tall, brawny super cricketer from Ranchi, who was making magic wielding the willow.

It was way back in 2008-2009, and the IPL was going on in full swing. Chennai was agog watching stars flocking to the IPL enclosures to watch the Chennai Super Kings show their supremacy. It was then that the super svelte South star Raai Laxmi waltzed into the VVIP enclosures, grabbing eyeballs more so from the cricketers. She was promptly introduced to the Indian captain, MS Dhoni ‘Mr Cool’ himself. And when they met, there was sheer magic… or so the Chennai media reported.
