Soap Opera Digest: What was your first reaction when you read the AMBITIONS pilot?
Erica Page: I was just like, “Oh, my God. This is great. I can’t believe I’m going to be part of it. Yes!”
Brely Evans: I’ll take it back a notch. When I read the audition sides, I was like, “I know her,” because she’s me — outspoken, not afraid to have an opinion, really couldn’t care less about anybody opposing what she says. She really feels like, “I’m for the greater good, so I’m right.” I have that fire in me, too. I couldn’t believe how I related to her so quickly. I will tell you this: One day, I was at my kitchen counter, standing up reading, and then my knees got weaker and weaker, to where I found myself like eye-level to the counter going, “Oh, my God!” That’s how exciting it is to find out what’s happening. It’s so freaking juicy that we’re like, “What!?” You should see our table reads.
