Stripped of control and respect, Lindiwe Xulu falls for the first powerful man who comes her way.
Not only did Lindiwe Xulu (Dawn Thandeka King) manage to escape the Sunny hill asylum fire on Thursday 9 March, it looks like she’s going to escape justice too when the murder case against her is tossed out of court on Wednesday 15 March. But the crowned queen of KwaMashu is stepping out into a world where her throne has been toppled. “Society and the community look at Lindiwe as an unstable person. People no longer have the respect for her that they had before,” explains Dawn. “She has no fight in her when she has just left the institution.” And like her daughter Nosipho (Nompilo Maphumulo), Lindiwe finds a dangerous man to cling to in the wreckage of her life – Nkunzi (Masoja Msiza).
