It’s the question on everyone’s lips: where is Rachel (Lesego Marakalla)? And importantly, is her notoriously dodgy hubby Marothi (Macks Papo) involved in her disappearance? It’s been a few days since we heard a peep from loud and proud Rachel, and by now her family are asking questions – especially since Marothi was the last to see her.
IT WASN’T ME
Marothi isn’t forthcoming, claiming he knows nothing of her whereabouts. But with his history – he allegedly murdered his first wife offscreen a decade ago to cash in on her insurance – Rachel’s family aren’t buying his innocence. They know about the couple’s recent fallouts about Marothi wanting Rachel to be a stay-at-home wife, but Macks says that his character is disgusted. “How dare they assume he’d ever hurt Rachel?” While Macks is backing Marothi, his murky past isn’t helping his case. “Marothi has a rocky history, especially with women in his life. This automatically makes him look suspicious. No matter how hard he tries, there is no way he can prove anything to anyone.”
