Three friends are partying their way into trouble.

Housemates Ty (Maurice Page), Wade (Dean Smith) and Justin(Eden Classens) burnt their fingers last year after finding stolen money in an old car that Ty wanted to restore. Shady Joy (Monique Rockman) stole the money from them and the police later confiscated it – but not before the trio landed in trouble. Their hopes of financial freedom haven’t been extinguished, and they’ve been looking for the perfect get-rich-quick scheme – and they think they’ve found it: parties.

They’ve been brewing their own beer since the start of the year and they had the bright idea to host house parties for locals in their neighbourhood. Guests only had to make a small contribution to the food, explains Maurice. “Ty was hesitant at first but quickly realised that they are sitting on a gold mine after seeing how many people show up.”

But Ty’s girlfriend, Lee-Ann (Portia Joel), who’s also their neighbour, gets a bee in her bonnet about her boyfriend and his brother Wade’s new source of income. “Lee-Ann is sceptical because she doesn’t believe that there is such a thing as getting rich overnight, and she doesn’t want anything to do with the three friends’ schemes,” says Portia.
