Season 2 Thursdays M-Net (*101) 19:00
Apart from going on candle-lit dinner dates, bungee jumping and mountain-biking each week with charming Marc Buckner on season 2 of The Bachelor SA (2019-now), 22 stunning single women had their claws out and fingers crossed that they’d receive a rose at the end of each episode. This red token not only meant that they were safe for another round, but that they’re also one step closer to winning his heart. “My least favourite part is the rose ceremonies,” says 37-year-old Marc (read more about his experience on p16). “Even if I don’t feel that kind of bond with someone, where I see us getting into a long and deep relationship, I still consider them friend. It’s difficult to say goodbye. I’ve never been good at break-ups.”
NIPPING IT IN THE BUD
There’s always the first impression rose that is handed out in episode 1, given to the single lady who catches the bachelor’s attention. This season the producers turned the stakes up a notch when they introduced the coveted white wild rose, giving the holder the power to steal a date at any time and therefore spend extra time with Marc. Fourteen rose ceremonies in and there is going to be at least one more broken heart when the finale airs on Thursday 28 May.
