The new year is barely starting and already the usually unshakeable Lehasa (Cedric Fourie) is feeling a bit sweaty under his fancy suit – and in handcuffs! And it’s no small crime he’s being accused of: Police are convinced that he’s the man behind former Café Rovuwa employee Fanie’s (Gift Mokhaphanyane) death. And while we know that Lehasa is indeed the murderous man cops believe him to be, he would prefer to keep that little fact to himself.
HE’S THE MAN
Most determined to bring the bloody deed to light is Detective Petersen (Mortimer Williams). And he’s not alone. “There are a few who want to expose Lehasa. We have Eunice (Oratile Maitisa) and Emkay (Mlungisi Mathe) who’ll no longer keep quiet about what they know. And there’s also a certain nurse who works at the hospital where Fanie died,” explains Cedric. While the killer is still working out how to get Eunice, Emkay, and the detective off his tail, Cedric has a warning for the nosey nurse. “Lehasa, being Lehasa, will try to silence her. He’ll do everything he can – lie, steal, erase and kill – to keep himself unharmed.”
