With the countdown on, Meghan and Harry have chosen the key players to bring their dream day to life
On April 19, exactly one month before they exchange vows, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will unite for another cause close to their hearts: attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) Women’s Empowerment reception at the Royal Aeronautical Society. With four weeks till they wed, the prince and his bride to-be were juggling official engagements with in-the-thick-of-it wedding prep—on a massive scale. “Windsor is getting ready to welcome the world to the Royal Wedding on May 19th,” tweeted Kensington Palace on April 14, adding that there will be “bunting, large screens and refreshments across the town.”
While the picturesque town of Windsor, where the nuptials will be held, is putting everything in place for a bumper celebration— scheduling extra trains, 6,000 parking spaces, live entertainment and viewing areas along the processional route—the bride and groom have locked in key players for their big day, including the pastry chef making their cake, the florist, and photographer Alexi Lubomirski, who took their engagement portraits. “I could not be more thrilled or honoured to photograph this historic occasion,” said Lubomirski, who’s worked with A-listers including Beyoncé, Cindy Crawford and Gwyneth Paltrow, and who happens to be a prince himself (of Polish lineage). “It brings me such joy to be able to witness again, the next chapter in this wonderful love story.”
