7 rules for SUGAR BELLY SUCCESS

1 Begin your day with breakfast, and pack it with protein

You’ve probably heard this a million times, but breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, especially if you’re looking to slim down. Breakfast skippers are four-and-a-half times more likely to be obese than breakfast eaters, a study in the American Journal of Epidemiology showed. What you eat is important, though. Protein slows digestion and research shows that calorie for calorie, protein is more filling than carbohydrates or fat.

2 Never go hungry – eat five times a day

We told you why you shouldn’t skip breakfast. Now we’ll tell you why you shouldn’t skip lunch, dinner or snacks, either. If you’re looking to flatten your sugar belly, the ‘starvation’ response is the last thing you need. Meal skipping is a guaranteed way to fire up sugar cravings. Skipping meals actually lowers blood sugar levels and causes you to over-eat for the rest of the day to make up for missed calories.

3 Jolt your tastebuds with flavour, not sugar
