WAR OF THE ROSÉS: THE ACTOR TAKES HIS 'VINDICTIVE' EX TO COURT OVER HIS BELOVED FRENCH VINEYARD

It seems it's the rosé between two thorns if the latest in actor Brad Pitt's ongoing lawsuit battles with ex-wife Angelina Jolie is anything to go by. And by all accounts, this new legal drama is shaping up to be much more than a storm in a wine glass.

In the exes' latest stoush, the Fight Club star is suing Jolie for selling her stake in their winery, Chateau Miraval, in the village of Correns, south-east France. According to court documents, Pitt claims he and Jolie agreed that neither would sell their business interests in Miraval without the other party's consent, with lawyers saying the estate was Pitt's passion project he grew into a multimillion-dollar global business and one of the world's most highly regarded producers of rosé wine. The document then goes on to accuse Jolie of contributing nothing to Miraval's success and abusing her power by selling to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler, who is bent on taking control of Miraval. She sold her share in October 2021 to the Tenute del Mondo wine group, whose holding company is controlled by Shefler. Jolie kept the deal a secret in a move he says was to inflict harm and asks the court to declare the sale null and void.

Pitt's lawsuit also claims Jolie knew and intended that Shefler and his affiliates would try to control the business Pitt had built and to undermine Pitt's investment in Miraval, insisting she's forced Pitt into partnership with a stranger.
