Cameron Diaz: Life After Hollywood

It’s been just over six years since Cameron Diaz walked away from her career as an in-demand movie star, last appearing on the big screen in Annie. Since then, she’s made the most of her new-found spare time. In 2016, she released The Longevity Book, a follow-up to her New York Times best-seller The Body Book (2013), and last July launched a clean wine brand called Avaline.

However, it’s her personal life, she says, that has improved the most with age. Since 2015, she’s been happily married to rocker Benji Madden, and in December 2019, the couple welcomed daughter Raddix.

“I wouldn’t have been the mum that I am now had I chosen to do that at any other time in my life,” said Diaz on the podcast Quarantined with Bruce last month. “I just feel so blessed that I get to be here now with my child and, you know, get to be the mother that I get to be. It’s such a blessing, it’s completely privileged, and I’m just really, really grateful.”
