A Nomadic Tale from Mongolia.
Once upon a time, all people and animals lived together happily in a big house called the Earth.
One day, for reasons no one knows, the creatures of the Earth started to argue. So they all went their separate ways. Some animals burrowed into the ground. Some dived under the water. Others flew up to the treetops.
But humans did not have sharp nails for digging, fins for swimming, or wings for flying. They had only their intelligence.
A very old man in Mongolia said to his seven sons, “We could build a small home based on our great model, the Earth.”
