Design lead Ruth Fogden on how Magpie’s custom workspace brings out the best of its creative team.

Our studio is located on the top floor of Munro House in the Arts Quarter of Leeds. We moved into the office last October after outgrowing our last studio that we had called home for the past eight years. Aside from two glass walls separating the two meeting rooms, the office was a blank canvas that enabled us to get creative and make the space our own.

The studio is a combination of bold colours and patterns with natural materials to create a space that’s full of energy and personality while being warm and liveable.

At the heart of our studio is our multi-purpose café, where the team can break away and generate creative ideas or problem-solve over a brew. The space is made up of booths for quieter working, a central island for group work and an open floor space perfect for hosting events.
