The Grand Tour TV series is getting its own episodic videogame.
TV and videogames have never quite pulled off working together well. Remember the Quantum Break TV show or sci-fi show Defiance? Probably not, and with good reason – the two mediums just can’t seem to strike the right balance. That’s not going to stop global giants Amazon from giving it a shot themselves though with The Grand Tour Game being based on the driving show of the same name.
It’s the first major project to come out of Amazon’s gaming studio and is also being helmed by creative director Craig Sullivan, who previously worked on Burnout Paradise at Criterion Games. With that kind of pedigree behind it the basic racing elements should at least be pretty solid even if the prospect of Jeremy Clarkson’s saggy face rendered in 4K by the Xbox One X doesn’t appeal.
