Anne – like many of us – is hooked on true life stories, but wonders about our fascination with other people’s traumas.
I LOVE true life dramas and I am relishing what seems to be a continuing glut of them on TV and the big screen. I like a good story anyway – you know, the sort with a beginning, middle and an end – preferably with a twist in the tale.
But when you’re aware that it is based on real events, this somehow packs more of a punch for me. Just look at the recent blockbuster “Hidden Figures” telling the unknown story of the African American genius-level mathematician women who worked for NASA in the early 60s and helped put astronaut John Glenn into space for the first time.
