Adam Henson on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust’s new chef ambassador
ONE of the perks of being a farmer on the telly is that I get to meet some of the country’s top foodies and celebrity chefs. Sometimes it’s on camera for Countryfile and occasionally I’ll even be invited into their kitchens, but either way when they’re as enthusiastic about British rare breeds as I am, it can be a real meeting of minds.
Before long we’ll be swapping my stories about animal husbandry with their tasty new recipes. So I was delighted to hear that one of the best in the business has been appointed to a new role with the conservation charity that I’ve known since I was a boy, the Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST).
