Margot is becoming a regular at the local vets as pet spaniel Monty goes from one calamity to another
“No, you can’t take the dog,” I shout up the stairs. Primrose is packing for her first school residential trip and so far I think she’s included the kitchen sink at the very bottom of her giant rucksack. It’s got to be in there along with most of the kitchen, dear Reader as I can’t seem to find that under an ever increasing pile of newly named clothes on the kitchen table either.
Honestly, when she tries to lift that wretched bag, she’ll collapse on her back like a worse for wear tortoise. I’ve already had to say no to yet more shoes being stuffed into pockets as well as several books. She’s really serious about the dog too. This request was shortly followed by asking if she could take her cat. Talk about taking your creature comforts, dear Reader.
