One of Lancashire’s top jewellers has plenty of history but it now has a contemporary and luxurious new look
FIRST appearances are very important when you are selling some of the world’s most exclusive timepieces and exquisite bespoke jewellery.
That was the motivation behind a major refit of the Leonard Dews store in Blackpool, a substantial investment which has been used to create a stylish ‘boutique’ style shop designed to impress clients as they walk through the door. Rather than a functional shop, the team behind the changes wanted to provide customers with an ‘experience.’
Before the refit, the first thing that greeted potential customers was the desk that dealt with repairs. That has been replaced by an inviting area made up of separate sections devoted to world leading brands – or ‘shops within a shop’. This approach has also been applied to striking new window displays. The furnishing and fittingsare all high end and created by local craftsmen. The light ash woodwork, gleaming metalwork, quality cabinets and lighting that’s perfect to examine gemstones combine to create an inviting ambience allowing clients to relax while they browse top brands such as TAG Heuer, Longines, Bremont, Chopard, Raymond Weil and Montblanc.
Owner Michael Hyman has an experienced and knowledgeable sales team who help customers to find out more about the brands or talk them through the Leonard Dews ‘Signature’ and ‘Hidden Diamond’ collections.
