I have been doing wildlife photography for more than 20 years now and have photographed hundreds of different species over the years. I&rsquo;ve even had my work displayed in the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa several times.I captured this photo of a wolf last year; I went out that day looking to photograph scenery in Kananaskis Provincial Park.I came across two wolves milling around and feeding on a dead animal. I particularly liked the expression on the face of this wolf as it licked its chops.I grabbed my camera with the long lens and began capturing photos through the window of my car, before the wolves ran away to take cover in the woods.The wolf is one of the most iconic symbols of Canada in general, and Alberta in particular. They are such majestic animals and hold a spiritual status in many different cultures.Encounters with wolves in the wild are not common, so you&rsquo;re lucky if you spot and photograph one.I feel fortunate to live in Alberta, where I am surrounded by wildlife everywhere. I enjoy heading out at least twice a week to photograph different birds and animals.
